Everything I do is to try to better the world for others and the generations to come. Taking part in the Mind Riot competition this year and creating an amazing business, Better Together, with my partner Tim Clarke is my part in trying to bring together communities in a time full of uncertainty. All my life, I have believed that it is nearly impossible to thrive when you are alone. By bringing communities together, I believe it grants more opportunities to everyone. Even more so with this current pandemic going on in the world, by focusing on communities, I believe we can all make the world a better place. My why is to better the future. My how is through supporting people, one community at a time. Only when we start to focus on others, then we can flourish.

I first learned about this contest through my friend and project partner, Kayle Orantes. It seemed like a really unique and interesting idea to me at the time, and through a little persuasion I finally gave in. I’m truly glad that I did. It allowed me to think about what my purpose is to pursue a path down the business and entrepreneurial road, and it has truly made a difference in the way I approach business. However, I finally managed to come up with my true purpose for joining a project like this. I’ve always been interested in business and economics and I’ve always tried to incorporate it in my own life. It has provided me with something to truly push myself for, and it made me think why it’s something I love to do. I soon realized I love it because it’s something I can enjoy and excel at if I really put my mind to it. It’s something that can improve me as a person, and that is what truly matters to me most.
